Hi Patrick,
You should be interested in a book called "His Majesty, O'Keefe", a true story about Captain David Dean O'Keefe, who was the first outsider to be able to get the Yapese in Micronesia to work for him in the late 1700's. It's a really exciting adventure story whether or not you might be related.
